How to use it?

  1. Activate license: Navigate to Preferences > General, enter license to activate.
  2. That's all, MacCopilot is ready.
  3. For using custom model: Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model. For example adding an OpenAI model:

  1. How to request recording permission?To request recording permission, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording, and ensure MacCopilot is checked. For more detail, you may refer to Control access to screen and system audio recording on Mac.
  2. How to add an OpenAI model?Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model. Select "OpenAI" format. Enter the required API key, select a model name. For more information about acquiring the API key, refer to the OpenAI Quickstart Guide.
  3. How to use chatgpt-4o model?chatgpt-4o model is alias to gpt-4o, so you can add an OpenAI model with model name select as gpt-4o.
  4. How to add a ClaudeAI model?Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model. Select "ClaudeAI" format. If you have a mirror or proxy server as the endpoint prefix, enter the Base URL, otherwise leave the Base URL as default. Enter API key.   5. How to add a Google Generative AI model?Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model. Select "Google Generative AI" format. Enter the API key and select a model name.For more information about acquiring the API key, refer to the Google Generative AI API Key Guide.

How to add an OpenAI API compatible model?Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model, select "OpenAI Compatible" format and input the API URL of the server (ensure it uses HTTPS due to macOS app requirements). You may use base URL(which have a fixed suffix) or a full URL.Note: When adding a model with non-multimodal support, the screenshot content may not be used.
  7. How to add an Azure OpenAI model?Navigate to Preferences > Models > Add Model, select "Azure OpenAI" format and enter the API key and model details.For more information about the Azure OpenAI endpoint URL, you may refer to Azure OpenAI Service REST API reference - Azure OpenAI and Create and deploy an Azure OpenAI Service resource.Note: When adding a model with non-multimodal support, the screenshot content may not be used.

If you deploy Ollama locally with default setting, the default value should work as expected.
